Ground Branch Scenario Idea Thread

Hey all!

 

Just thought I would get this topic going for fellow modders to Draw Ideas from. The goal of this thread is to help out those who get writers block, cannot think of a good Idea for a scenario, or Just want something to quickly use for a mission.

 

Feel free to contribute to this thread. With that said I will get this thread started.

 

Scenario 1: Pul-e-Charkhi Prison

 

Setting - Soviet-Afghanistan War

Objective Type - Hostage Rescue

Insertion Type - Land

 

Background - Ground Branch Operatives have been requested by local Mujahideen freedom fighters to free local village Mullahs and friendly Mujahideen from the Pul-e-Charkhi prison east of Kabul where they are thought to be held. The prison is held by a detachment of the 12th Guard Motor Rifle Regiment.

 

Ground Branch Objectives - (Win)

 

1. Secure and Rescue the Mulahs

2. Secure and rescue the friendly Mujahideen freedom fighters

3. The entire enemy force is killed.

 

Ground Branch Objectives - (Lose)

 

1. All of the Mulahs are killed

2. All of the friendly Mujahideen freedom fighters are killed.

3. All ground branch operatives are killed.

 

Mission Notes

 

Mujahideen - Notes

  • Will pickup weapons if an weapon is nearby. (Example on the floor)
  • Mujahideen will fire on enemy forces unless told other wise.

Mulah - Notes

  • Will flee if near an enemy or if shots are fired.

OpFor

  • Will target both players and AI (Mujahideen and Mulah).

Glad you liked it - I did my best to base it off of historical contexts. So active units at the time of the Soviet-Afgan war, Actual places in Afghanistan, etc.

 

I am starting work on another one so yeah. :)

Scenario 2: North Hollywood ShootoutSetting - Los Angeles - United States

Objective Type - Hostage Rescue (Modded)

Insertion Type - Land

 

Background - At 9:17 AM, on February 28th, 1997 two armed robbers (Larry Phillip Jr. and Emil Matasareanu) entered and robbed a Bank of America in North Hollywood LA. After exiting the bank they were confronted by LAPD officers and a shootout with the officers and robbers ensued.

 

Bank Robbers' Objectives - (Win)

1. The Bank Robbers reach the escape vehicle within 44 minutes with the money.

 

Bank Robbers' Objectives - (Lose)

1. Both Bank robber's are Killed or incapacitated.

2. Bank Robbers' do no reach the escape vehicle within 44 minutes.

3. Bank Robbers' reach the escape vehicle without the money.

 

Mission Notes - General

  • Police Spawn in waves (See Below) after the players exit the bank.

Larry Phillip Jr. - Bank Robber #1 - Player #1 - Notes

  • Primary Weapon - Modified AK-47 (AKM)
  • Seconday Weapon - HK-91 Rifle
  • Full Suit of Body Armor

Emil Matasareareanu - Bank Robber #2 - Player #2 - Notes

  • Primary Weapon - Modified AK-47 (AKM)
  • Secondary Weapon - BushMaster Dissipator
  • Full Suit of Body armor

Civilians - Bank Interior/Exterior - Notes

  • Once Shots are fired they will either flee the bank or Cower.

Security Guards - Bank Interior - Notes

  • Armed with Thirty Eight Special Revolvers
  • Minimal Body Armor

Police - Patrol #1 - Notes

  • Armed with 9mm Semi auto Pistols or Thirty Eight Special Revolvers.
  • Some have 12-gauge shotguns in the back of their cars.
  • Body Armor - Police Kevlar

Police - Patrol #2 - Notes

  • Armed with AR-15 Rifles or 12 Gauge Shotguns as a primary
  • Armed with a 9mm Semi Auto Pistols as a backup weapon.
  • Body Armor - Police Kevlar

Police - SWAT Team #1 - Notes

  • Armed with AR 15 Rifles for Primary
  • Armed with the 1911A1 .45 ACP Pistol as a back up.

Police - SWAT Team #2 - Notes

  • Armed with AR 15 Rifles for Primary
  • Armed with the 1911A1 .45 ACP Pistol as a back up.
