In my perusing of the interwebs I often come across people or issues that require the swift hand of Sapper Justice brought down upon them like God Almighty. One such instance today. For those of you who don't know, people fraudulently representing themselves as Navy SEAL's and Special Forces elements like ODA, CAG, MARSOC, etc have skyrocketed since the killing of Osama bin-Hidin'.

One of my YouTube subscribers had been involved in a back and forth between himself and a supposed actively serving Navy SEAL. He shot me a PM and asked that I take a look at this cats posts. Needless to say, there is no way in Hell this guy was, is, or ever has been a SEAL. SOF elements don't take morons, this individuals grammar and spelling is simply horrendous, and he couldn't give a single example of the training regimen conducted during cert. I asked him to provide the names of his BUD/S instructors so I could relay and check the veracity of the claim. Of course he couldn't. There is a lot more posted, so I'll let you guys decide what the deal is.

Regardless, I contacted the FBI, US Attorneys' Office, and my local CID with screen grabs and reported a Stolen Valor Act infringement. I do hope he enjoys making small rocks outta big ones whilst on his 5-10 vacation at Leavenworth.

Commentary and posts found here. They'll likely be deleted soon, though that won't save him.

Btw real quick one before back to work. If you dont mind, send the info to these guys also as they have a ball with this stuff. They are on a constant patrol for folks like that also. Am pretty sure you know these sites. If you want to get this guy out into the open even more that is.

I spoke with the Duty Agent at the Topeka FBI office and provided all of the necessary info. He said they will investigate and prosecute if able. I also contacted VeriSEAL with the same information, they're pretty good about outing fakers and forwarding investigative results to the proper authorities.

On the related topic of stolen valor. And as always with Action Figure Therapy vids, BIG language warning.

Posted at SOCNET in the SEAL forum as well. Lots of actual operators there so hopefully they'll run with it.

Happens down here too mate. There's more people claiming to be an SASR Trooper then have been in the regiment lol. I personally love it when someone try's to tell me they are SAS and can't even tell me what Squadron they were with.... a few years back had one guy in Sydney going on how he was SAS...told his mates to shut him up before I would.

I've heard of one guy claiming to be a SEAL who was caught out in front of a bunch of Army SF...suffice to say they would have been fun to watch!

@ Det: If you need anything really specific ping me; good mate of mine was a Bud/S instructor when Marcus Lutterell went through.

True that, every party or gathering you go to here in Perth there is either someone who claims that they are SAS or they know someone. Funny as.

Yeah, VeriSeal is the place to go when someone claims to be a SeAL. I used them to bust one a few years ago.

Yeah mate. Given how busy the guys are with supporting SOTG and additional guys working up for the next rotation; and keeping the TAG West Capability current and having guys available for Green Role I can really see how they'd be out partying all the time LOL
