OK, can't believe I missed this one :wall:

Just as you should be able to skip cutscenes (providing there are any), you should also be able to replay cutscenes, be they at the beginning, in the middle of, or at the end of a mission. If you want to watch a particular cutscene you should be able to do so. Obviously, this only pertain to the part of the game you have completed.

And no hero music please. More tension.

What I especially hate is the triggered ingame 'action music' during some missions, which sounds similar to the Gillette ads.

I don't believe we will have that. We will most likely have some music in game depending on what is going on, but not triggered to let you know action is happening.... We'll let the action speak for itself.

While we're on it - my cutscenes hate of hates.....

u have real news scenes in the background which creates a feeling like this is for real....but in the foreground u have the cartoonish animated news character who looks like he/she is speaking a dubbed voiceover who's mouth doesnt match the commentary at all cheesiness.

all real or all fake - a blend just doesnt work.

I liked the briefing system in SOCOM: Combined Assault

There was a primary window with objectives, maps and stuff, and you could change the load-outs. but it was all set over a 3d-world where the operators were in a briefing room. it looked quite nice (and the during the debriefing the background was from the inside of a helicopter or whatever the used to extract)

I agree, they shouldn't mix it. I really don't mind the lip-sync issue though, as I imagine it takes alot of time and money to get it close.

After playing MGS4 (Epic cutscenes), I realize that brevity is important during the game - and then perhaps a longer, rewarding end of game sequence afterwards.

I prefer if the "news" was taken with in-game objects. Look at the "news" scenes from Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. These are an excellent "fake" newscasts.

Please give the user the choice to skip intros and cut scenes .

With lan coop mode I prefer to disable all music , as I want to hear the environment , team mates and gun fire , I would like to see a little video intro sequence to explain the insertion method and the team goal.

Also if someone joins later , if they can see the same little video sequence that would be handy , but no 30 min long dribble video epic story please.

I think it would be cool to be able to rewatch the cutscenes that we have "unlocked" (by progressing through the SP campaign) from the main menu.

Personally though, I like to watch them in context. That is, before and/or after a particular mission. Not disjointedly.

Similarly, we should be able to replay the missions that we have successfully completed in the campaign individually, i.e. not as part of the ongoing campaign.

But come to think about it, essentially these work like the dreaded "unlockables" that most of us dislike, including myself.

On the other hand: why call it a campaign if the missions would be available right away? Posted Image Unlocking missions by doing the story line is perfectly well and not something I consider "unlockables" like weapon attachments, types of camouflage etc.

Much agreed. Talk about making people cringe. WTH? It's enough to make you turn the audio completely down. We would just shake our heads. That and the manner in which professional operators are running around like privates, standing at parade rest, yelling like idiots. No, just no.

The way it's been portrayed in movies and games is just wholly wrong. The feeling is far off the mark. Sometimes it's small things. Comments or nuances of body language. The way the SEALs were portrayed in The Rock...bad. Wrapped way too tight. Too regimented, to much like privates running around. The manner in which Cat Shannon's Team acted in The Dogs of War on the boat? Very familiar.
BRUTE FORCE. If it's not working, you're not using enough.
