Does this mean there may later be Air Branch and Maritime Branch games?

Perpetual Marketing, the idea certainly lends itself to other titles..

The setting is probably the most exciting bit of that for me. Much more interesting than your generical "WHITE SUPREMACISTS SUITCASE NUKE BLAH BLAH" bit.

Love the title, it's real and sounds serious, just what this game needs.

Very nice banner and site colour (cold and serious).

Their members are drawn from the best former SOF operators from around the world including US Army Special Forces, British SAS, Australian SAS, Navy SEALs, Delta Force, and GSG9 just to name a few.
Do you mean GSG9, or KSK (or both)? GSG9 is more of a Counter Terrorism Unit, equal to the FBI Task Force, while the KSK is the military Special Force Group (Kommando Spezialkr?fte - Special Force Command).

The KSK would probably be better for the missions in this game. GSG9 is more like the HRT or a really good SWAT team.

I'll try to do a general post here to address a few things......

First off thanks for the response!

There are numerous reasons why we choose this unit and this story line, but one of them was the fact it left things wide open for the future of the franchise. These guys are not constrained by typical government restrictions and could conceivabley operate anywhere from anti terrorist hunts in the Middle East to drug interdiction operations in South America. There are many many ways we can go in the future.

One thing about these groups is that even though this is a Ground Branch unit, they are cross trained in air and maritime operations as well. So, while something like taking down an oil platform wouldn't be their mainline operation, it is possible for them to do so if the need is there.

Also, even though the guys pulled for these units can be from different SOF forces around the world, they are still a US CIA operation and under the sole direction of the National Command Authority. So it isn't really a multinational team per se', but will include individuals who came from various units throughout the world.

We plan on launching a game specific site up in the coming weeks and will start to introduce you to the main players, though you have already seen glimpses of Gary Tyler.

So, join us in our grass roots efforts to do things our way. It may be slow and low compared to the big boys doing the E3 pimping this week, but we are truly different and choosing to take a different path. In true SOF fashion we are out front taking the arrows.... we are making our own path to accomplish the mission, bumps pitfalls and all.

As for the 'multinational' comment, I had no doubt these would be CIA led operations, I was rather referring to the individuals as such.

As for the location (Sumatra), damn nice. The 'jungle combat' is like one of the purest and most classic military operation locations (love all the South American anti-drug ops stories like in 'Clear and present Danger'). And Indonesia, nice, love these missions in Pandora Tomorrow, tight jungles and these awesome Indonesian buildings, nice atmosphere (especially at night).

It seems like you made the right decisions for the first start :), and I guess that is just the tip of the cake.

Awesome

He has to have willpower, he has to have that.

He has to believe in what he's doing and have that determination, which comes from an absolute belief in your own ability to achieve and to keep going under any circumstances.

If he's got that, then he's got that different thing.

I am curious about what the reason is to form such a unit. Logistic/financial support from allied governments for all the operations? Or more of a "best of the best working together" thing?
The information link MONOLITH posted does not really explains that, can you name all the nations involved, or is it yet a secret? Doesn't really matter to me, but it would be interessting to know.

No, It's just not the time to discuss it yet.

All in good time. Patience.
