The basis for the Ground Branch game experience is, like everything else in the title, realism. There are legions of FPS fans that are constantly saying, ?I wish there was a game where I could do such and such just like the real world.? With Ground Branch, they will. All the while getting their hands "dirty" and experiencing the visceral consequences of hard decisions made during desperate situations.

Can't wait...

Hello BlackFoot Studios!  I finally ventured over here after hearing about the official name announcement from a little bird.  (Thanks, ZJJ)  I'm excited about the possibilities and the realism that you are obviously trying to implement in Ground Branch.  The forethought, open mindedness, and ideas that I've seen in these forums is truly awesome.  I so look forward to helping you build Ground Branch around a community.

Congratulations and good luck!  I wish you great success.

Oh, please, let this come to the console as well. (not at the expense of PC experience, of course)

If not, I guess I will have to figure out how much of a new machine I will need.  :o

Good luck to everyone at BFS.  Hopefully your first title will be more successful than your wildest dreams.

You certainly have the right community based philosophy, which is the first step to making this thing #1 with a bullet.  :o=

Now you just have to get everything else right.  It certainly sounds like you're off to a good start.   B)

Hi, good to see some realistic simulator. They killed rainbow6 (fan of r6 ,rogue spear ....), good to see people giving second live to games like these. Just a question : can we expect to use some vehicle on large map or u focus on infantry only ?

I found two old articles from a norwegian newspaper (VG), it's known for being notoriously inaccurate when it comes to military and police business, but it may hold some truth yet. Ended up translating some of the more interesting parts:

Quote

[...]But so far the elite soldiers of Saddam haven't been able to apprehend soldiers of what is ironically known as "Waffen-CIA" in some parts of the military in the US.

The spy soldiers of SOG speaks the local language fluently, they let their beards grow, rides horses and camels and blends into most enviroments and societys[...]

As soon as 26th of september 2001, 15 days after the terrorist attack against the US, the SOG was deployed in the Taliban-controlled country. They went in with suitcases full of money and bought support from local tribal leaders.

When a tribe leader felt that they offered too little, a bomb exploded outside his tent a few hours later. He changes his mind on the spot.

The second one is a list of CIA operations (where SOG has most likely been involved) that has failed miserably, or where the mission goals have been very unethical, such as Iran, Cuba, Chile and Nicaragua.

There won't be any player controlled vehicles, but vehicles are part of the game.

No, we are not making a game that trys to play like Armed Assault or Crysis with big open "sandbox" style play. Our maps average 400 - 700 meters in size.

Will this also mean that there won't be any super giant destructoid robots from the future like in crysis?  :'(
