So is DKR worth the box office ticket or a DVD/BR wait ?!

I really enjoyed the movie even though we paid out the wazoo for the imax thater and then ended up close to the front because my wife was so late.

The one thing I really didn't pick up on was the mask bane wore and the explanation they gave for why he needed to wear it (not really the exact same background as orginal bane since there is no "juice").

Movie in a nutshell:

It over took Forrest Gump as my favorite movie of all time in my own personal movie seeing quest....I enjoyed it a lot.

I am glad it doesn't follow the comic books, and the comic books were just inspiration. The dude was jacked up enough that he would have given MONO a run for his money.

Bane officially became my favorite movie villain. The way Tom Hardy played him, was fantastic. I wouldn't have put the movie any other way.

Just came back from the movie.... 9.5/10
the 0.5 is for open-ended ending......which is a spoiler, so I'm not giving it away.

The Nolan Brothers were both awesome with their directing and writing.

DKR has more complex story than Avengers.  The Avengers is something that you can watch over and over due to its action scenes.
DKR is something you can watch over and over due to its story, just like other Nolan movies.

Now that another DC character is about to be introduced, hopefully, one day Frank Miller's Dark Knight will see the big screen

Under the Red Hood, Year One, Nolan movies, Rocksteady games... not sure about the comics front but the Batman franchise is having such a good time now isn't it?

Thanks modders for merging the above post -- I thought this thread was specifically for Nolan's Dark Knight movies?

Just seen Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2. It's awesome! I recommend watching the two parts together.

I'm still waiting for my library to carry this or wait for the bundle version.
I really like the graphic novel and the animation available in YouTube.

I wish the animators of the Halo movie(4th chapter) would get a hold of this.
