And with that future patch comes the RO-Classic mode which means that AGAIN you'll be restricted to boring ass bolt rifles unless you're one of the lucky few to get a smg class. Everybody knows that the smg's were soooo sparse in ww2. I can't understand why people believe it is a good idea to have mappers decide what your loadout is going to be.

That part of RO-classic sucked.

Plus they don't plan to do anything about the faster movement, which also sucks.

It's a beginning eh. These are initial plans, doesn't mean it are their ONLY plans.

Looks like they're making the unrealistic mode even more unrealistic by adding things like cross hairs in.

You would think they would have learned that you can only make a game suit one play style a couple of months ago.

You would think that devs would have learned by now you need a good random teamspawning gamemode to keep people interested. To break free from the limitations made by mappers.
Mappers have too much invluence over how the game plays now, and it gets boring walking the same route.

We'll see after the update.

Too little too late. They had their chance and shot themselves in the foot some time ago.

Seeing as how the playerbase has pummeted from around 10000 to a little over 700, there isn't much they can do to save RO now.

Lol.
I wish them well. The support is great but imo they listen to the wrong part of the community. Their teamplay vision is not working.

-They want teamplay, but they don't give you enough tools for it. I asked them for cardinal extensions and more for use in teamchat in RO1 years already, it's very beneficial for teamplay. Plus they almost never use correct map locations.
When you say someting it usually looks like:
Zeep: (Urhkabulu some full length mapname) I need some backup here.
While it should look like this:
Zeep: (Woodshack) I need some help here.
And with cardinal support and a compass, this is possible:
Zeep: (Woodshack) Need backup here. I'm facing west.
or,
Zeep: (Grand Mansion, 2nd floor). I'm behind you $playername_you're_facing
* I have no idea why the colors are like that*

Directional sound is also not working correct. There's just many small things that they should do but don't.

Umm, I was thinking about giving this one a try, downloaded it and all, but can't seem to find a tutorial or training mission in it. There is a tutorial in it somewhere, right?

I hadn't played this in many months due to the buggyness of it and the past couple days I have revisited it with the new patch and they have really improved and optimised it. There are still some minor bugs but I have been having lots of fun playing and I might go back to regularly playing it. Also classic mode is awesome it's basically just RO1 with RO2 visuals, which is what a lot of the fan base wanted from the beginning. Hopefully the pacific mod will come out soon and later the vietnam mod, those should be nice.

Gave it a try two nights. Not really feeling it anymore i guess. I will keep it installed and play occasionally. Classic mode is good. I'm glad they got rid of lockdown.

I don't think I'd call that a game-play video. Kinda short.

Still, looks great.

Well, they did title it as a "teaser", so it's sort of acceptable. Doesn't make it more useful, though :(

I hope they change up some of the issues with RO2/RS (multiple gameplay modes/difficulties, make attachments sensible and not grindy, ect.). It might buy it. Some lag, animation and other issues with RO2/RS... but it has gotten pretty decent and I have played it a lot over the recent months. So I might buy this as I always wanted a decent Vietnam War game.

I have a feeling it will end up like Rising Storm. Before RO2's release they were advertising it along with Rising Storm at various events. To show that they allowed mod support but nonetheless, perhaps they will.

I hope it is good and gets a big player base though.
