This might me a wee bit too early but anyway. When installing the game, will the installer check my system first to see whether I can run it, or is it fine as long as there is enough install space? Personally I think a quick check would be nice (even if it's unnecessary), given that it lets me install the game REGARDLESS of my specs.

Id hazard a guess that a standard UE3 installation would be what we would see?!

Id hazard a guess that a standard UE3 installation would be what we would see?! Yeah, it's not like there's a very effective way to see how well a game would run before actually installing a benchmark of some sort, and even then it's not a sure thing... Of course, a free demo including all the training stuff to let people see for themselves what the game has to offer and how well it would run is probably a great idea. -------------------- You don't mess with the Zohar!

Certainly premature, but I can't see how an installer could determine if the machine is "good enough". I have seen installers check off certain requirements for hardware but other than that I don't know how one would code something to make that determination.

I don't know how one would code something to make that determination. Which is exactly why websites such as "canyourunit" are complete failures, but for some reason people keep using them as reference... -------------------- You don't mess with the Zohar!

It told me I could run ArmA2 on my old machine at bare minimums on graphics, hey what do you know i could run ArmA2 on bare minimum on my machine.... -------------------- |
