The usual one, it seems. Limited activation Starforce stuff.

God no. Well, as much as I would like, I guess the DCS stuff is off the table for me.

:nono:

Been researching parts for a new kick ass gaming PC the last few weeks
but for this same reason I haven't got one yet

I can't deal with this DRM crap

I don't feel like I'm missing something either, too many great games to play in console world

Too bad the game looks fun to play

lol, 7 activations (and you can de-activate and it won't use one up) and more if needed just contacting them and explaining how you went through 7 activations, which I'd be interesting in knowing too.

And Starforce ain't the same crappy DVD killer it use to be, but whatever... It will eventually come to Steam...like BS did.

but come on...

I've skiped DCS:BS because of the terrible optimisation and "see-through / fly-through trees". I might buy A10 if it's optimisation is better. I believe they didn't fixed trees (engine limitations?) but it's no a problem anymore since it's not an attack chopper simulator.

Actually there are rumors on 1C forums that Storm of War is comming pretty soon, maybe even this year.

I don't like the activations either, because you also have a limited amount of deactivation's. It simply feels like someone is breathing down my neck all the time. Anyho, the trees are an engine limitation or at least almost impossible to fix so don't put your hopes up that they will ever fix this on the current engine.

Don't get me wrong, I love the DCS series :D I'm still loving Black Shark, the attention to detail is just stunning with ED's products. I think I'll buy this one later down the line, still too much to do with Black Shark. Although it is tempting.

Well of course you need one of these too:

only 500 to 600 bucks, lol.... I'd get one for 3 to maybe 400 max, but sorry...economy is bad, 600 is way to much. IMO

(and of course this and the A10 sim, ain't for everyone... you really got to be into sims)

JTAC Night Operations Example

I love how You can see laser beam marking the target. I wonder if there's real JTAC team on the other end of the beam.

I have been playing the Beta for ~6 weeks now on and off.  What small bit of the JTAC stuff I have played with so far has really been impressive.  In fact just about every non-WIP aspect of this simulator has been verrrrrryyy impressive.

I still can't get the game to run at all on my rig so I've given up!
Had to start with jumping through a whole buttload of hoops just to get it patched all the way, like uninstalling my over the counter copy and downloading the whole game all over again as no patches was to be found for my perticular version, and that still didn't resolve the constant crashes.
LO-MAC and DCS-BS ran just find for me but I just don't have the energy to try to figure this crap out any longer!
