Shame Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass are not associated with the project this time, but other characters from the previous films will re-appear and Jeremy Renner is the lead, playing another Treadstone agent. It is rumored things might tie in into a fifth film, but then with Jason Bourne to be part of the story again. Edward Norton is the antagonist.

I'm still very much excited about this. Director is a co-screenwriter of all the three Bourne films.

I rented the Audiobook for this, since I knew, they would make a movie.... I just didn't think, movie studio would break the stories into different movies....

 oh wait... they did that in the first 3  <_<

Honestly, all I care about is that they make a film with the same style as the predecessors. The first in the series wasn't directed by Greengrass and is my favourite (they are all equally good though). The first could even have another guys in the lead role, all that matters is the idea (you could say the "vision"). What made the Bourne films stand out was this specific style, that is all that I need.

I kinda compare the Bourne films to R6, while films like Mission Impossible 2 are Call of Duty. You get the idea.

I might check this out, frankly I like Jeremy Renner...he doesn't get enough good roles.

I had my doubts about another Bourne movie, but that looks good. :)

Tying it in with Ultimatum hey? Could work!

Trailer looks good, if not a little more 'hollywoodised' than the previous three which I thought lacked any real hollywood fluff.

Was also a pleasant surprise to find out that it's only a few months away! Can't wait!

It was a good movie.  I liked how it tied the timeframe of Legacy with Ultimatum and gave a bit of the backstory.  Like I said, overall a good movie, the ending seemed rushed though.

Yeah the ending was out of place. It actually didn't even feel like an ending to me. Apart from that it was top notch. Well worth seeing.

7/10

This was a Hollywood Exec greediness.

The story was good, explained a lot more of the experiment, but, failed to build a character you root for, until the last 15 minutes of the movie.

I see why Matt Damon walked out on this.

He didn't walk out on this. He was long gone before the script came into being.

Plus it's not directly about Jason Bourne (Matt Damon's character), so there would be no reason to have Matt Damon on screen.  If I remember correctly it was always Matt Damon's plan to only do the 3 Bourne Movies.

I don't remember what video I saw where Matt Damon himself said the word "pass", but, here is an interview

Quote

Do you mean The Bourne Legacy?

“This one this summer, with Jeremy(Renner), yeah. He’s awesome, and you know, he’s one of my favorite actors and I believe him in that world. You know, when Paul and I talked about maybe doing one, years ago, where we pass it off to somebody so the franchise can continue with someone else, Renner was the first guy that we talked about.”

plus it's different from the book: The Bourne Legacy....of course... and I knew going into the movie was different.  Hence I called it greediness from Hollywood.  The book turned to a movie would be great, I'm sure Matty would take the challenge of playing a much older Jason Bourne, then, Hollywood can introduce....the legacy
