What software does BFS use?

What software (modelling, Animation, Programming) does BFS use?

I just want to know, I got Blender 3D.  Do BFS use this or 3Ds MAX, I am sure Blender can get some good results to.

For animation I guess Maya and for programming maybe Visual Studio? lol..

Been a long time since I really was involved but back then 3Ds Max was in use alongside Zbrush for modeling.
I used 3Ds Max for modeling, some very limited zbrush use for detailing and Photoshop for texturework.

Has-been, now retired for good.....maybe :devil:

Pretty much whatever an artist wants to use is fine. Moving files around between software these days is very easy. Personally, I am a 3ds Max guy and use Mudbox (To busy to sit down and learn ZBrush) as well as Photoshop and Visual Studio for script programming.

For what is worth, I use Notepad++, with custom highlighting and batch files for the majority of my script/programming work.
Flash, C++, Unreal Script - anything.
Prefer it over any other IDE thus far.

Have you checked out Sublime Text 2? I used to use Notepad++ for PHP, JavaScipt, HTML and CSS. Then a buddy showed me Sublime Text 2, and I fell in love with it.

For anything 3D related I use Maya with Photoshop.

Obligatory link to Sublime Text 2. Note that while the former is shareware, Notepad++ is free software. Technically there is no stated duration on the trial, so you could use it like freeware for as long as you want.

Edit: After a bit of brief research, it's an apples/oranges thing. Adobe Photoshop CS6 will take the red eye out of your family pictures, but if that's all you need it for, put the wallet away and get one of the thousands of free or inexpensive options out there.

Do you guys use lightwave?

I have played with 3ds, Blender, maya, ZBrush but use mainly lightwave and cs 4 for my work, I find the vpr in lightwave an extremely useful tool and radiosoty render times are not bad especially with the use of screamernet. also in the process of setting up a drop box system for rendering over the net.

I should really givd max more time as I don't really know it yet and would like to be more proficient with all of them over time.
That is not dead which can eternal lie, yet with strange aeons even death may die.
