Meh... More giant, sparsely populated islands. Whooptie-######ing-do!

The best maps for A2/OA were Hazor-kot and Aliabad, primarily because they were smaller and more detailed. I wish I knew were this need for massive terrains that have minimalist features and details came from.

smaller maps would at least make arma 3 mission makers think shorter missions. id be happy to play arma 3 if i came on to a ts3 server and heard were almost finished this mission. instead of 5 to 6 hour missions which are way too long. no one would make a 5 hour movie because there is no way anyone would want to sit for that long in a cinema or even at home.

A SA-6 is a older MLP but fully capable of bringing down a aircraft at that altitude or higher. The Russian Federation has been loaning SA-11's and 12's to the DPR for awhile now, so it's likely that it was a MLP deployed SAM. There's also a rumor from the Ukrainian Government that a Russian Fighter brought the aircraft down. That's just stupid. Russian pilots are highly capable, well trained and would never make the mistake of firing on a commercial aircraft.

they did in the 1980s they shot down a korean airliner

Berg has stated that he's doing a film on the Battle of Kamdesh. If that's the case, it's something I'd certainly go and see (I rarely go to the theater.).

is peter berg going to do another afganistan war film?
